Obtain and maintain a thoroughunderstanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Ensure an accurate and timelymonthly, quarterly and year-end close of office in Munich and other operationbranches in the EU countries.
Ensure the timely reporting of allmonthly financial information.
Assist the Controller in the dailybanking requirements.
Ensure the accurate and timelyprocessing of positive pay transactions.
Ensure the monthly and quarterlyBank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
Supports budget and forecastingactivities.
Collaborates with the other financedepartment managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
Monitors and analyzes departmentwork to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources whilemaintaining a high level of accuracy.
Advises staff regarding thehandling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Supervise the general ledger toensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Assist in development andimplementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of thedepartment.
Provide training to new andexisting staff as needed.
Work with each direct report toestablish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advice on theprogress to enhance the professional development of staff.
BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, charted accountant will be preferred.
Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
In Germany and other EU countries’ experience working in large-size professional services firm is preferred.
Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Experience with large automated accounting system a plus.
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
