We focus on the needs of young families and supply more than 50,000 products from around 500 brands which our customers can order comfortably online. The broad product portfolio includes everything from diapers, baby food, children’s furniture, toys, clothes and strollers to child car seats and furniture. As a stock-listed company, we are present in six European countries as well as in China and are constantly expanding our business in existing markets.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the selection and development of the China product assortment supported by regular market research, trend scouting activities and evaluation of market potential of new products
You will be managing existing supplier relationships and acquiring new ones incl. the preparation, execution of supplier meetings, price negotiations etc. by showing them the potentials of the Chinese market
You will be conducting KPI monitoring and analysis (e.g. sales revenues, margins, inventory) and competitor benchmarking
You will help create operational efficiencies with our suppliers by working with the Categorymanagement, Logistics, Order Management and other departments
Your profile
You have a degree in economics/business administration or apprenticeship in commercial fields/the retail sector
You have 2 – 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, category management or sales ideally in e-commerce; ideally, you also have experience in cross border e-commerce with China
You have a proactive attitude and hands-on working style; you do not fear making decisions and bearing responsibilities; and time pressure does not disturb you
You are good in business mathematics and have good analytical ability
You are technologically adept and have fun in working with new tools
On top of your good English and/or German skills, you have Mandarin Chinese skills on a native speaker level
You enjoy working in a team and proactively approaching/sharing with colleagues
