Huawei’s German Research Center (GRC) in Munich & Nuremberg is responsible for advanced technology research, architecture evolution design and strategic technical planning.
We are currently looking for a Power Electronics Intern/Master Student to contribute to the development of our Huawei Energy Competence Center Europe (HECCE), which will play an important role in designs and develops power converters and control systems for applications such as UPS, PV, ac-dc and dc-dc power supplies in Huawei Network Energy Business Unit. Candidate will be part of HUAWEI Energy R&D Competence center in Nuremberg.
Minimum duration of Internship is 6 months and can be extended up to one year.
Our Requirements: · Registered in a reputed European University to undertake Master of Science (MSc) or equivalent degree program in Power Electronics, Power Engineering or similar relevant Electrical field; · Good theoretical understanding of basic power electronic principles and semiconductor devices; · Can do attitude, eager to learn new things and ready to think outside the box.
Your Responsibilities: · Support ongoing R&D projects with software modeling and simulation of multi-level converter topologies for Solar & UPS applications; · Support in design and implementing control algorithms for such multi-level converters; · Support in hardware design and testing of such converter mock ups in the R&D laboratory environment; · Support in developing tools for semiconductor loss, weight and cost estimation tools; · Documentation of all R&D activities.
If the candidate is willing to do the Master Thesis the topic and research activities can be discussed and agreed with the University Professor/advisor prior to the start of this Internship.
