遗址介绍
平遥
Pingyao is World Heritage site which is famous for the well preserved city wall and
layout of the Ming Dynasty. LiangCun is 15 minutes driving from Piangyao city and is the
original village of Pingyao. Now there are still near 5,000 people living there. The
building will be restored during the work camp is a wooden buddha temple named JiFu
Temple, which is original built in Tang Dynasty, now the remained architectures are
built in Yuan Dynasty, the whole temple contains several buildings including the main
halls, side hall and living places for the monks .all the buildings are arranged by an
axis and symmetrical.
苏州
Suzhou is one of the famous historic cities in China, especially for the privet gardens.
With more than 3000 years history,PingJiang historic areas is locating at the heart of
old city of Suzhou, which well keeps the historic layout of city, waterways and roads
combine together, houses built by the river. The agreeable enviroment make people feel
the life of traditional Chinese. The existing local residential are built mainly in Ming
and Qing Dynasty, many of which are on the list .The building will be stored during the
workcamp is a wooden houseing with small coutyards, which is a typical residential for
that areas.
新绛
Xin Jiang is a hitoric city with more than 1500 years history, from Tang Dynasty , it is
a important place for merchant and culture. The existing oldest garden of China,Jiang
Shou Ju Garden is in the heart of the city for more than 1000 years.The site of the work
camp is located at the north west of the city, called Bai Tai Temple. The temple is
original to Tang Dynasty, Provincial listed monument. The existing wooden structures
mostly date to Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. The work camp will parcitipate in the
restoration and preservation of the middle hall and main hall of the temple.
