Position 2: Project On-SiteSupport Engineer for gearbox calibration

1.  Qualification requirement  

- Severalyears of driving experience

- Bachelor orabove degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or equivalent

- Above 5 yearexperience in transmission calibration regarding drivability and shiftingstrategy is mandatory, especially experience with DCT is highly appreciated

- Good feelingabout driving comfort, dynamic and brand character regarding drivability

- Knowledge inCANape (Vector), DiagRA (RA Consulting), Creta (AVL) is preferred

- Knowledge ofMicrosoft Office tools

- Languageskills in English are business fluent and German preferred

- Enjoyworking in intercultural environment and sharing knowledge with team

- Sufficientlycommunicative

- Willingness to travel inside China and abroad

2.  Job Description  

Optimize the start-up, creeping and gearshift processes and shifting strategy of certain cars with DCT gearboxes. Ascertain uncomfortable driving situationsand optimize related calibration. Cooperation with other colleagues ondriveline calibration issues and participation on regular meetings forinformation

1)    General work is as following,

Measurements

- Implementation ofregular measurements/ try outs on DCT systems

Calibration Optimization

- Ascertain uncomfortable driving  situations and adjustment of transmission calibration properly especially for the start-up, creeping and gear shift processes and shifting

Calibration Validation Drives

- Participation on validation test drives

Information Exchange

- Cooperation and sharing information with other related colleagues on driveline calibration issues

Data management

-Management of calibration data online systems/ online storage

Documentation of work

-  Documentation of test results/calibration work

-  Summary of the documents and preparation for the milestones meetings

-  Presentation of the documentation to team as well as Audi AG by need

The following temporary works, which may occur for theduration of the project and which must be performed by contractor:

- Flash TCUSoftware to the test cars

- Troubleshooting during drives if failure occurs, read out and analyze failure protocol

- Analysis of causes (possibly also with measurements), ifthere are field complaints about transmission systems or general drivability

3. Job Specification

1) Implementation ofregular measurements/ try outs on DL382 transmission systems

a. Installation ofmeasurement equipment/measurement preparation;

b. Performing measurementin car with test equipment around Beijing;

c. Analysis of measurementand development of solution suggestion;

d. Documentation of analysis results

2) Ascertain uncomfortabledriving situations and adjustment of transmission calibration properlyespecially for the start-up, creeping and gear shift processes and shiftingstrategy

a. Clutch control, enginespeed and engine torque control

b. Calibration of safetyand substitute functions

c. Calibration ofshift points for multiple situations like efficiency, normal, sport and up/downhill maps

d. Documentation of calibration changes and preparation of parameter sets

3) Participation onvalidation test drives

a. Testing under specialconditions e.g. cold, hot, high altitude tests

b. Improvement of calibrations during validation drives if necessary

4) Cooperation and sharing information with otherrelated colleagues on driveline calibration issues

a. Powertrain calibration responsible, gearboxcalibration departments Ingolstadt and JV.

b. Discussion with related internal combustion enginecalibration engineers

c. Participation onregular meetings for information exchange and project status

5) Management of calibration data on online systems/online storage

a. Summarization of measurement data and upload it toonline storage in time

b. Generation and Management of calibration files

c. Upload and merge calibration files in CRETA

d. Verification ofquality criterion and management of test cases status

6) Documentation of test results/calibration work

a. Summary of the documents and preparation for themilestones meetings

b. Presentation of the documentation to team
