钱锟教授是生物学及进化论研究的专家。钱锟教授生于大陆、长于香港.1971年在加州大学尔湾分校 (University of California, Irvine) 取得海洋生物学博士学位，随后到加州理工学院 (California Institute of Technology) 环境工程系继续博士后研究；1973年开始受旧金山大学(University of San Francisco) 聘任为海洋生物学教授。两次被选担任生物系主任。现兼中美交流部主任，经常回中国讲学，并接受多所大学及医学院聘请为客座教授。 他的研究兴趣包括动物生理、水产养殖及寒武纪动物大爆炸。

Paul K. Chien is Professor of Biology. He received his B.S. in both Biology and Chemistry from Chung Chi College, N.T., Hong Kong, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine. Prof. Chien is interested in the physiology and ecology of inter-tidal organisms. His research has involved the transport of amino acids and metal ions across cell membranes and the detoxification mechanisms of metal ions.

显而易见，钱进化专家可没敢跟他自己的雇主声称是研究生物进化的，而是老老实实说在搞些什么氨基酸和金属离子的跨细胞膜转运和解毒。为什么中英文网页介绍不一致？为什么专门蒙骗华人世界？

可是我转念一想，备不住人家钱专家太谦虚，不在网页上放这些。那好吧，既然是专家，论文总得发一发嘛！不能冤枉了人家。立刻去medline检索 Chien PK，以下是结果。天神有眼，这就是专家的水平？！？请注意我标出的impact factor (影响因子)。在纯生物学界，发影响因子在5以下的文章基本不值得一提。钱专家居然在影响因子为0.027的废纸刊物上发表文章，真是闻所未闻！而且这区区六篇论文，哪一个和生物进化有关？

这么说吧，这比任何一个申请进我们学校上学的本科毕业生还差得不是一点儿两点儿的了。

就这样的“专家”，不敢在美国骗，也就欺负咱自己的父老乡亲，严重鄙视和恶心！

这是一个旧帖，两年多前写的吧。看到开元这里的基督徒们还在用钱大骗子的东西来攻击进化论，可悲啊，21世纪信息社会，这里的基督徒们就这么闭塞？

为了不冤枉人家钱大专家，特地又去medline检索了Chien PK，可怜，两年多了，没增加一篇文章。也是啊，从1995年起就不发科学论文了，咱能指望人家什么呢？可怜的还是那些轻信的基督徒们啊。

Paul Kwan Chien (born 1947) is a Chinese-American biologist known for his research on the physiology and ecology of intertidal organisms and his support for intelligent design and other forms of creationism.[1]
Chien was born in 1947 in Hong Kong and earned bachelors degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Chung Chi College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1966 and his Ph.D. in 1971 from the University of California at Irvine in the laboratory of marine invertebrate physiologist, Dr. Grover C. Stephens.[1] After a brief postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Wheeler J. North at the Kerckhoff marine laboratory of the California Institute of Technology in Corona del Mar, California, he joined the faculty of the University of San Francisco in 1973. His research has involved the transport of amino acids and metal ions across cell membranes as well as the detoxification mechanisms of metal ions.[2] Chien is a fellow the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture, hub of the intelligent design movement.[1]
Chien is described in the Discovery Institute's Wedge document as leading its "Paleontology Research program",[3] in spite of the fact that, by his own admission, he has no credentials in that field.[4]
He has translated several scientifically controversial books by intelligent design authors, such as Phillip Johnson's book Darwin on Trial and Jonathan Wells' Icons of Evolution, into Chinese.[1]

两个都看了看，wiki的这个同LZ说的一点都不矛盾。
看来，“钱锟是进化专家”这个说法，的确是一个谣言。
反对进化论不要紧，用蒙骗的方式反对就恶心人了。

也就是说，钱是发现研究院雇佣领导其“古生物学研究项目”的带头人。发现研究院这个神创论的大本营，看来也是真找不到真正的科学家来参与了，用个研究毒理的从1995年起就没有发可以被medline检索的科学论文的人来领导其“古生物学”的研究。真够可怜的了。

说实话，看来您好像根本不知道什么是medline，是medline权威，还是wiki权威？我们组里任何一个学生，包括本科生，medline的检索结果都比这位钱大专家强。
