Responsibilities
Manage forwarding operations for international transportation for both international and domestic incl. customs clearance.
Monitor the shipment and provide the customer with updates on the status of their shipment.
Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
Identifying risks as well as developing countermeasures and independently developing potential and risk analyses
Arrange and co-ordinate pickups and deliveries.
Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
International order management and tracking.
Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
Qualifications
Bachelor in Logistics or similar is preferred, but not necessary.
3 years of work experience as a logistics specialist.
Experience in dealing with hazardous substances and goods, ideally in-depth knowledge of storage and transport (ADR 2019)
Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, organizational and coordination skills
Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Very good knowledge of German and good English
