很多豪言壮语会这么说，you will do it over my dead body! 你要是想怎么怎么样，除非从我的尸体上踏过去。（除非我死了，不然你别想怎么怎么样)
比如说钉子户在面对拆迁的时候，就老说：You will break my house over my dead body! 要拆我的房子就从我的尸体上过去！！
这样的说法明显是比较偏激的，表达了强烈的抵触、反抗情绪。在战争年代，别人为了达到目的，可能真的会从你的尸体上踏过去，不过在现在，往往也就是一个抗议的语言而已，并不会真的要死要活的。
