Director Commercial Operations and Business Development (m/f/d)
based out of Europe




Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of the Market Segment, the Director of Commercial Operations and Business Development is responsible for developing and executing of commercial forecasting, SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning), budget and pricing, price deviation, customer relations and new product commercialization of Rexnord PMC Products. Develop and execute market growth plans with primary focus on OEM first fit and Marine MRO. Capture VOC to build market growth plans as well as feed our portfolio management process.
Notable attention will be placed upon driving the organization to deliver the orders and sales in support of the commercial forecast and specific organizational goals. This position also is responsible for commercial agreements, sales promotions and warranty.
In addition, the Director of Commercial Operations and Business Development will assess whether or not the current sales strategies are sufficient for meeting company sales goals; and if not, this leader will work in conjunction with the Commercial Sales Team to determine root causes of failure to meet goals and to then develop actions and countermeasures to alleviate or minimize shortfall from plan.  Important emphasis will be placed on using process improvement, Lean, or other tools to drive customer satisfaction.




Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum of 10+ years of commercial, product or marketing experience with highly engineered products in a complex B2B industrial manufacturing enterprise, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Director, VP, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree with post graduate studies (M.B.A.) preferred
  • Proven track record of delivering to forecast though superior industrial commercial marketing and analytics, prior P&L experience preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (25% of the time, including overnight) is required.
  • Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Capabilities and Success Factors:
  • Understanding of Lean principles
  • Direct experience in a process (or consumer products)-related manufacturing sector
  • Direct experience within targeted vertical market
  • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, German or Chinese)
